Based: Tottenham, North London

Contract: Temporary Jul 09 - Feb 10

Hours: 35 per week

Rate: £9.50 per hour

Resource Futures is seeking two temporary members of staff to co-ordinate and deliver an engaging series of Love Food Hate Waste events across North London over an eight-month period, whilst also providing community outreach for a range of food waste reduction initiatives on behalf of The North London Waste Authority.

To reduce food waste, you will engage with members of the public face-to-face, giving advice about minimising the amount of food they throw away. You will also encourage businesses, community groups and restaurants to support the eight North London authorities' joint programme of Love Food Hate Waste activities.

Enthusiastic, self-motivated and with an interest in the environment, you possess excellent communications and organisational skills and are able to deliver the highest standards of customer service. The ability to speak a community language would be helpful.

  • Some evening and weekend work

Please note that you must be available 31st August to 8th September, 21st November to 29th November and 9th January to 15th January.
