- 2003/04 THIRD BUDGET REVIEW & 2004/05 BUDGET FORCAST
REPORT TO FOLLOW - JOINT MUNICIPAL WASTES MANAGEMENT STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT UPDATEThis report brings Members up to date with progress on the development of a joint municipal wastes management strategy for the Authority area. The Head of Waste Strategy and Contracts will update Members with the outcomes of a Cabinet Member Seminar held on 9th December. The report also proposes the extension of the appointment of a co-ordinator to enable the continuation of the North London Recycling Forum, reports on the bids submitted by or with the support of North London authorities to Round 7 of the London Recycling Fund and the Community Recycling and Economic Development Fund
- ARSENAL RELOCATION - UPDATEThis report advises Members of progress with the relocation of the Authority’s waste transfer station at Ashburton Grove to Hornsey Street. The relocation agreement with Ashburton Properties Ltd, and the corresponding relocation agreement with LondonWaste Ltd have both been signed; leases from Ashburton Properties Ltd and LB Islington and to LondonWaste Ltd are now in agreed form; and a contract variation with LondonWaste Ltd is also in agreed form.

- ADOPTION OF DRAFT JOINT MUNICIPAL WASTES MANAGEMENT STRATEGYThis report advises Members of the outcomes of the Cabinet Member Seminar held on 9th December 2003. Members at this meeting considered an internal draft joint waste strategy and requested various changes to it. They recommended that (subject to such changes being made) it was suitable for formal consideration by each Partner Authority as the basis for an external stakeholder dialogue. They also made recommendations about the nature of the stakeholder dialogue.
