This report brings Members up to date with the results of the pilot nappy re-use project carried out in partnership with the L.B. Camden and Nappy Ever After a local community enterprise. Approval is sought to extend a nappy re-use subsidy across the North London area.
Reason for urgency: The Deloitte & Touche report to Members was received after dispatch of the NLWA main agenda.

STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTS 2003/04
This report is the second in the current year of a series of regular reports on the Authority’s finances. It concludes that the Authority is currently forecast to have a revenue surplus of £1.673m at 31 March 2005, i.e. an increase of £0.110m compared with the first review. The report, however, draws attention to issues that could impact on the position. A further review of the 2004/05 budget, together with an up-to-date assessment of the budget and resource requirements for 2005/06, will be reported to the Authority in December.
At the last meeting of the Authority, members requested a report on the current support arrangements. This report sets out the arrangements which were agreed in 1999.

This report notes the approval of the Mayor’s Draft North London Joint Waste Strategy by the Authority at its special meeting on 27th September 2004 and notes the meeting of the Landfill Allowance Trading Scheme Members Working Group on the same day, and indicates the next steps
