This report informs the Authority of the NLWA Members Questions process and any questions that have been provided for the meeting - JOINT WASTE STRATEGY UPDATE - APPENDIX 1This report updates members on progress made with implementing the North London Joint Waste Strategy (NLJWS) since the last Authority meeting on 19th September 2007. The report includes progress made with carrying out a retrospective strategic environmental assessment of the North London Joint Waste Strategy and comments received from consultees on the scoping report for the same, along with other implementation matters including capital expenditure provision.
- LEGISLATION UPDATE REPORT - APPENDIX 1 - APPENDIX 2 - APPENDIX 3 - APPENDIX 4This report updates members on forthcoming legislative changes which will impact upon the Authority and provides draft responses to two current government consultations, which members are recommended to approve.
- WASTE SERVICES PROCUREMENT: GOVERNANCE, PROCEDURAL AND RESOURCE MATTERSThis report identifies key governance issues relating to the long-term waste services procurement and some possible approaches, including those in relation to handling sensitive information, engagement with boroughs and the role of inter-authority agreements.

- 2007/08 THIRD BUDGET REVIEW AND 2008-09 BUDGET FORECASTThis report is the third in the current year of a series of regular reports on the Authoritys finances. It concludes that the Authority is currently forecast to have a revenue surplus of 2.987m at 31 March 2008.

- DRAFT NORTH LONDON WASTE PREVENTION PLANThis report outlines actions towards implementing the waste prevention objectives outlined in the North London Joint Waste Strategy. A new draft waste prevention plan is being developed which updates and replaces one approved by the Authority in December 2006.
- CONTRACTS ACTIVITYThis report informs Members on operational activities and associated issues dealt with by the Contracts section of the Strategy & Contracts team from January to October 2007.
