This report informs the Authority of the NLWA Members Questions process and any questions that have been provided for the meeting. - JOINT WASTE STRATEGY UPDATEThis report updates members on progress made with implementing the North London Joint Waste Strategy (NLJWS) since the last Authority meeting on 7th December 2007. The report includes progress made with carrying out a strategic environmental assessment of the North London Joint Waste Strategy and proposed changes to the strategy resulting, and additionally seeks approval to establish a capital programme.
- REAL NAPPY SUBSIDY - Appendix 1This report updates Members on the Authoritys support programme for real nappies. The report covers outcomes of the Authoritys support programme to date and options for the future.
- NORTH LONDON WASTE PREVENTION PLAN - Appendix AThis report outlines actions towards implementing the waste prevention objectives outlined in the North London Joint Waste Strategy. A new waste prevention plan has been developed which updates and replaces the one approved by the Authority in December 2006.
- NORTH LONDON RECYCLING FORUM - Appendix A - Appendix B - Appendix CThis report updates Members on NLWAs sponsorship of the North London Recycling Forum (NLRF) and provides options for future support.
- THIRD PARTY REUSE AND RECYCLING CREDIT REGISTRATIONS - Table 1This report advises Members of the third party organisations that have applied to be registered for third party reuse and recycling credits for 2008/09 and makes recommendations in relation to these. One applicant is assessed as ineligible and a separate recommendation is made in relation to this organisation.

This report indicates that following a fourth review of the 2007/08 budget the Authority is currently estimated to have a revenue surplus of 3.164m at 31 March 2008.

- NLWA REPRESENTATION AT THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF LONDONWASTE LIMITEDThis report asks members to nominate a representative to vote on behalf of the Authority at the Annual General Meeting of LondonWaste Limited which is usually held in April.
- GOVERNANCEThis report seeks to update Members on issues relating to the revised national Code of Conduct its impact upon their roles on the Authority and as applicable as A Directors and in particular issues relating to conflicts of interest.

The report provides a summary of the North London Waste Authoritys (NLWAs), proposed communication strategy highlighting communications aims and objectives and activity moving forward. This is focused on the procurement workstream but additionally covers other aspects of NLWA activity.
