Give & Take Days - Dealing with north London's waste is all about Give and Take this autumn...

The seven boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Islington, Hackney, Haringey and Waltham Forest came together with the North London Waste Authority to deliver a series of "Give & Take Days” between September and November 2011.

Give & Take Days are free community exchange events where you can donate unwanted but reusable items you no longer want, and take something you need!

Give & Take Days are a great way of reusing unwanted items, helping to conserve valuable resources and diverting a significant amount of items away from landfill.

The Give & Take Days ran from 11am to 3pm:

Give
between 11am and 12pm - give any reusable items you no longer need
Take between 12pm and 3pm - take home something you need for free

Things to bring:

Anything that’s reusable! Household items including books, CDs, DVDs, electrical and electronic items, toys, sports gear, bric-a-brac, good quality clothes and small items of furniture. (all electrical goods will be tested on the day)

We won't accept:

Broken items in need of repair, food, toiletries, sharp or dangerous objects, and upholstery without a fire safety tag.

Missed the 'Give and Take' events?

You can still donate your unwanted furniture and electrical goods at a number of reuse centres across the NLWA area. Visit the London Reuse Network to find out where they are.
