Real (reusable) nappies can be used as an alternative to disposable nappies. Modern washable nappies come in great-looking, easy-to-use designs and can save you around £500 per baby if you wash your own. 

 Real Nappies for London is a London-wide scheme which provides parents with an opportunity to try real nappies, and lists real nappy events and workshops that are happening across north London.

NLWA has supported the use of real nappies in north London since 2005 by offering parents a subsidy of up to £54.15 if they buy real nappies for home washing or sign up to use a nappy laundry service.
