For Recycle Week 2019 (23 – 29 September) North London Waste Authority are spreading the word to help people recycle more at home.
WRAP’s Recycling Tracking Survey 2019 shows that 51% of UK households dispose of one or more items in the general rubbish that are collected for recycling kerbside in their area. Households could recycle, on average, 1.6 more items kerbside.
Though recycling services vary a bit across the UK, research has found that people often miss some more 'unusual' recyclables including things like cleaning product bottles, foil, perfume bottles or moisturiser jars.
