North London Waste Authority (NLWA) has commissioned Resource Futures to run a series of sessions to introduce local individuals, community groups and organisations to NLWA and identify opportunities to work together around the aims of the North London Waste Prevention Plan.

The North London Waste Prevention Plan is designed to encourage a reduction in general waste and to support constituent borough activities and services in north London. It covers the period 2022 to 2025 and is currently in the final stages of development.

The objectives of the plan are to:

  • reduce local authority collected waste in north London,
  • promote sustainability through mindful consumption, reuse, repair and sharing,
  • minimise climate impacts, and
  • improve the local environment

These objectives will be achieved through a comprehensive and sustainable programme of communications and community engagement activities. The North London Community Fund is available to support organisations that wish to tackle waste in line with the North London Waste Prevention Plan, and NLWA is also keen to explore other opportunities to collaborate to achieve the objectives of the plan.

Resource Futures will be running a series of engagement sessions on the plan. These will be an opportunity for attendees and NLWA to get to know each other and explore potential working relationships, needs, challenges, and interests, on both sides. This will help inform priorities and involve the local community in the plan more effectively.

If you would be interested in attending a session, please email with your name, organisation (if relevant), and why you would like to attend. Or alternatively, book online here.
