Who are Arachne Women's Support?
Arachne Women’s Support has provided welfare advice and support, accessible groups and classes, and volunteering opportunities to help vulnerable women living in Islington and Greater London improve their lives and reach their full potential. The vision at Arachne is a society where women can realise their full potential, and keep the Greek and Greek Cypriot culture alive. Arachne Women's Support received funding through the North London Community Fund to deliver practical sustainability workshops where residents will learn about food‑waste reduction, clothing repair and small electrical fixes, alongside wider community engagement through a street‑party awareness event.
What is the event?
The 8-week block of sessions are part of a programme where you will learn easy, practical skills to repair your clothes and bring them back to life. No experience is needed - all skill levels are welcome.
