Two crested grebes on a lake

Welsh Harp conservation event

Phoenix Canoe Club & Outdoor Centre, Cool Oak Lane London NW9 7ND

11:00am - 1:00pm

Join Friends of The Welsh Harp for a summer clean up. Located at north London's own Site of Special Scientific Interest and important habitat for many birds and wildlife species, this event is part of research organised by the North London Waste Authority and the University of Derby. North London residents (from Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Islington, or Waltham Forest) can receive a £20 voucher by completing surveys.

Friends of the Welsh Harp will provide all necessary equipment: gloves, litter pickers, hoops and bags. We'll provide a health and safety briefing before setting off. Please check the weather beforehand and wear appropriate clothing - sturdy boots for walking, waterproofs for the rain and hats and suncream if sunny! There will be biscuits and refreshments available after the litterpick as well.

Please note, there will be photography on the day. If you would not like to be photographed, please speak to an organiser on the day.
