Forest Recycling Project

Forest Recycling Project (FRP) is a charity with environmental and social aims. The team engage with organisations and communities in London through a range of practical initiatives to reduce, re-use and recycle waste, and help people live sustainably.

FRP received funding to continue their pilot model of the Walthamstow Tool Library. The project has reached over 500 residents of Waltham Forest and made a significant impact in reducing C02 emissions through a borrowing rather than buying mentality. The project team were able to expand this model and make it accessible for more London boroughs with the funding. 

At the end of the funding year, FRP achieved:

• 553 members to the tool library
• 96 low-income members
• 3,960 tool loans
• 44.3 tonnes of co2 diverted
