This request is being handled under the Environmental Information Regulations (EiR) 2004 and has been allocated the reference number 2018-09 . In response to your questions please find below the following information:

North London Waste Authority (NLWA) is the waste disposal authority for seven boroughs – Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Islington and Waltham Forest. As such, we do not collect the waste from north London households – our role is to process it. Consequently we do not hold any information about how many real Christmas trees were thrown out and collected from households across north London after Christmas 2017.

We do not hold any information about whether the collection of real Christmas trees was carried out in-house by boroughs or outsourced and we have no information about the cost of this service. Accordingly this response acts as a refusal notice under the EiR - Regulation 12 (4): (a) The Authority does not hold the information.

We apologise that your request will not be met but if you have any further information needs in the future then please contact us.
