Please can you provide me with the gate fees charged to Barnet Council for food waste sent to anaerobic digestion for the year 2019/20 if they have already been decided or contracted and if not, the date on which these gate fees will be decided.

This request is being handled under the Environmental Information Regulations (EiR) 2004 and has been allocated the reference number 2018-17 . In response to your questions we have not yet decided the cost per tonne for the treatment and processing of food waste in north London for financial year 2019/20. This will be determined in February 2019 as part of the Authority’s budget setting process.

The scope of this contract includes organic, both garden waste and food waste, processing. The definitions for contract food waste, contract green waste, contract organic waste and mixed contract food and green waste are outlined at the start of the contract with further information in the body of the contract. The contract runs until expiry at 23.59 on 1 December 2025.
