What communication has North London Waste Authority had with Camden Film Quarter and Yoo Capital about the resiting of Regis Road Recycling Centre with particular reference to access for all trucks that visit the site especially via the  Holmes Road entrance as agreed at the Planning Committee meeting of Camden Council on 15 June 2026?

Our response  

NLWA has engaged with Camden Film Quarter (CFQ), Yoo Capital and their advisers regarding the proposed relocation of the Regis Road Recycling Centre as part of Regis Road redevelopment; Planning Application 2025/4861/P.

Please find attached a copy of NLWA's comments on the proposed Recycling Centre designs and its formal response to the Local Planning Authority.

Engagement has included working-group meetings, technical reviews and correspondence involving CFQ/Yoo Capital, their consultants, Camden officers and NLWA. Discussions covered design development, operational requirements, transport strategy and planning matters.

A key focus throughout has been ensuring that the replacement facility can safely and effectively accommodate all vehicles using the site via Regis Road only. Pedestrians and cyclist may use Holmes Road to approach the facility with the entrance for pedestrians and cyclist being in Regis Road. Discussions included:

• Vehicle access and egress arrangements;
• HGV turning movements and swept-path analysis;
• Highway capacity and traffic management;
• Internal site circulation and operational functionality;
• Management of non-conforming loads; and
• Safety and continuity of service during any transition.

NLWA has also reviewed design submissions, operational strategies, transport assessments and planning documents, and provided feedback through meetings, correspondence and formal planning responses.
