Barrowell Green RRC is closed on Easter Monday.

The centre is monitored by Automatic Number Plate Recognition and CCTV cameras are in operation 24 hours a day.

Vans and trailers are not currently allowed at the centre and permits are not being issued. Please check for updates on Enfield Council's website.


Site rules

This site is managed by London Borough of Enfield. Please visit the Enfield Council Barrowell Green page for more information about what you can and cannot bring to the site.

Residents can deposit:

  • two household sacks, or the equivalent amount, of general rubbish (items that would be placed in your grey/black lidded bin)
  • two household sacks, or the equivalent amount, of garden waste (items that would be placed in your green lidded bin)
  • four household sacks, or the equivalent amount, of recycling (items that would be placed in your blue lidded bin - this includes paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, pots, tubs, trays, tins and cans).
  • any small electrical items, such as irons, kettles, toasters, hairdryers or DVD players.
  • DIY waste capable of fitting into two 50 litre bags, four times in any four week period. This includes concrete, brick, stones, pebbles, sand and gravel.

Charity Waste

Eligible charities can take up to five tonnes of non-hazardous waste/recycling each year, free of charge, to three of our Reuse and Recycling Centres (RRCs): Summers LaneHornsey Street or South Access (in the London boroughs of Barnet, Islington and Waltham Forest respectively). Revive Shop

Enfield’s Revive shop encourages reuse and recycling by selling items donated by residents.

Items for sale often include:

  • Antiques
  • Artwork
  • Bikes and bike parts
  • Books, CDs and DVDs
  • Clothing
  • Furniture
  • Garden items
  • Ornaments, trinkets and glassware
  • Toys and games

Note about electrical items - Revive shop doesn't accept or sell electrical items as we are currently unable to do PAT testing.
