Plastic gloves should go in the general waste bin. This is partly because they are ‘personal waste’ so could pose a health risk to others, but also because they are made from a thin elasticated plastic which is not easy or cost-effective for us to recycle. TerraCycle (opens in a new window) has a number of drop-off points where disposable gloves can be recycled.
If you suspect or know that you might have COVID-19, there are specific guidelines to follow for disposal of 'personal' waste like used disposable gloves. Take a look on COVID-19 Personal Waste (opens in a new window).
