i am writing to you under the freedom of information act and environmental information regulations 2004 to request the following information. please specify osince over the from 2010-11 to 2021-22, what fuel was used in the edmonton ecopark efw facility. please specify what type of material was used as fuel, the volume of each type of material, why it was used, where it was obtained from, the location it was transported from and what income nlwa/lel received from each type of fuel. by ‘type’ i refer to the categories of fuel used by nlwa/lel, for each type please provide an explanation of the contents of each category used. if a weekly basis is too specific please either provide the raw data or provide the data on an alternative time scale e.g. monthly, quarterly; that would meet the requirements of the time permitted for a free response under the foi act/ eir. of it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in section 12, please provide advice and assistance, under the section 16 obligations of the act, as to how i can refine my request. if you can identify any ways that my request could be refined i would be grateful for any further advice and assistance. if you have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact me via email or phone and i will be very happy to clarify what i am asking for and discuss the request, my details are outlined below. thank you for your time and i look forward to your response.

Further to our email acknowledging your EIR request (reference 2022-190), our response is as follows.
You requested information on the types of fuel used the Energy from Waste (EfW) facility at the Edmonton EcoPark.
In response to your previous EIR request, reference 2022-188, we provided data setting out the types of waste received from our constituent boroughs at the EcoPark with the caveat that not all the waste is disposed of through energy recovery.
For the purposes of charging the levy fees to the boroughs, we use a menu pricing scheme in which all waste disposed of through energy recovery is categorised as residual waste. The levy fees per tonne for disposal of residual waste in each fiscal year since the menu pricing scheme was implemented are shown in the table below. We may hold cost information from earlier periods, but it would not be directly comparable as it would be in a different format. Please let us know if you would like us to provide it.
