Expanded polystyrene

Expanded polystyrene can be recycled at some of our reuse and recycling centres (opens in a new window) (RRC). Currys PLC also allow customers to return expanded polystyrene for recycling. Read more on the Currys website (opens in a new window). If you are unable to access your RRC you can put it in your general waste bin.

Please note that expanded polystyrene is the kind of sturdy packaging material that is used to protect products such as large electrical appliances. It is not the same as the type of polystyrene used to make takeaway containers (opens in a new window).
