Plant pots cannot go in the home recycling. This is because they are made of a type of plastic that the recycling sorting facility don’t have a recycling outlet for, i.e. there’s nowhere to them to be made into new products. Some garden centres will take back used plant pots for reuse. Alternatively please put them in the rubbish bin.
As part of our hard plastics trial, plant pots can be taken to both Camden Regis Road and Islington Hornsey Street reuse and recycling centres.
