Child car seat

If it is in a good condition, a baby or child car seat could be sold online, taken to a charity shop or given away on websites like Freecycle (opens in a new window), Freegle (opens in a new window) or Olio (opens in a new window). However, parents and carers are often advised not to use a second-hand car seat because it might have already been involved in an accident, causing damage to the seat which might not be easy to spot, visually.

Car seats can also be disposed of in the 'general waste' bin at six of our reuse and recycling centres.
