Please allow enough time to unload your rubbish and recycling before our site closes. If you arrive 10 minutes before closing time with lots of items to unload, or there is a queue of cars ahead of you, you will not be allowed in.
Please note: South Access Road RRC will be closed on Tuesday 30 July for some exciting refurbishments. There will also be changed access arrangements on 23 and 24 July, though you can still visit the site and bring your waste on those days.
Improvements include:
- A new layout with increased space, so we can accept a wider range of waste materials
- Better signage, including digital screens
- Parking for those coming by bike.
Following closure on 30 July, the site will reopen as normal on Wednesday 31 July. If you need to dispose of waste on Tuesday 30 July, you can use any of north London’s other recycling centres.
Pre-booking system
You do not need to book in advance if you want to visit this reuse and recycling centre by car, bicycle or on foot.
If you are coming in a van, trailer or stripped vehicle, you need to book in advance using our van booking system. This includes any vehicle without seats fitted in the back including minibuses with seats removed and crew cab type (pick-up) vehicles.
Free DIY materials
You can collect DIY materials like bricks, slabs, tiles or timber for free from this site. Please note that the materials change every week so we might not always have what you're looking for. If you'd like to drop off or collect any DIY materials from this recycling centre, please speak to a member of staff. Unwanted but good condition materials can be dropped off at any recycling centre and will be made available through this scheme.
Restrictions on hardcore, rubble, soil and stones
Each north London household can take DIY waste capable of fitting into two 50 litre bags, four times in any four week period. This includes concrete, brick, stones, pebbles, sand and gravel.
